Hi,

I've got a CA Azur 751 and a problem with set up. When playing BD's with concerts I noticed that the voice of lead singer (whoever it is) is much stronger/louder when on its own or just with gituar, but when the band joins the level of lead singing goes significantly down. I checked playback of the same records with ps3 and there's no such problem there. What am I doing wrong?

Regards,

William

Sounds like you've got some form of Dynamic Range Compression switched on, go through the CAs settings (audio most likely) and see if anything like that is enabled.

EDIT: It's Setup Menu - Audio Processing - Dynamic Range Control: Set it to OFF.

Pages 29 and 31 of the manual.

Drop an email to CA then, see what they think. I'd give them rather more information though, such as the make and model of the AV, which discs display the effect, etc etc.

Is there a night mode setting? Or even a dialogue boost setting. Try setting it all to default and see what that does.

Sorry if that's not much help. I hope you get it sorted.
