About 3 - 4 years ago I bought a Panasonic Plasma TV TH-42PW6 for around £3k which I was very happy with at the time. This TV is not HD and will only go up tp 480 pixels. I don't think I had even heard of HD, if I had I would of held on a bit and prices seem to have come down aswell. My questions are : 1 . Will anyone part exchange an old plasma against a new one ? (panasonic) 2. What TV would you recommend for being full HD and being cheap-ish ? (42") 3. Is there a new HD resolution on the horizon , ie above 1080p ? Cheers 4 the help Andy

I had the Panasonic TH-42PW5 and recently upgraded to the SAMSUNG PS-50Q97HDX.
Now I stuck my old screen in the bedroom but before decideing to do so I checked out how much they were making on EBAY and it was anywhere around £300 hence why I stuck it in the bedroom. Of the current 42"" I would go for the Panasonic TH-42PX70, now this may not be a FULL HD set but it will accept a 1080P signal and downscale it and in my oppionion 1080p is not essential on a 42""set.
