Hi

i have a question, when i put freeview through my sagem so i can use the onkyo and my speakers for sound, its seems to 'blanket' the same sound all around the speakers and this means that the rears (being closer to my head) dominate, is there a manual way of setting the speakers just for this use... with movies its fine (well its amazing actually)

or should i just use the TVs speakers for TV and only use the onkyo for movies?

Which listening mode preset are you using for listening through the Onkyo? I find that TV Logic does the best job for my Sky+ hooked up via optical. You can set your desired listening mode for your TV input through the setup menu, usually labelled CBL/SAT depending on how you've assigned the input.

Well during normal viewing, you should be able to use the amp remote to go through the different surround and stereo listening modes - there are quite a few. Once you find a mode that you like, just leave it on that.
