Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced turntable platform? I need one to stand on top of my existing Target rack. A wall mount is not an option and if possible I didn't want to spend £200. Google doesn't seem to be turning up much so any recommendations gratefully accepted.

try and find a Target TT1 wall mount shelf, flea bay is a good place to look.

solid frame, top platform sits on 4 spikes, works very well. I still have mine sitting in the shed, dont ask !

only downside with the Target is the platform is not very large, a large d/d would probably not fit.

have you tried using your deck on top of your rack, i have a Target D150 rack, 5 glass shelves, tripod, 2 spiked feet front 1 center rear, rare as hens teeth.

my pro-ject expression is on the top shelve, nearest floor stander is less than 2 feet away, no problems at all regarding feed back or skipping, but my floor is solid, wood laminate over a concrete floor.

I have a target rack, not sure which model. I bought it second hand. The top plinth rests on four screws and you balance four disks on top of that. Not sure if I have that set up right as it slides on the flat disks. I also have laminate flooring but it has some give in it and if you tread on it in certain places it affects the turntable. As I said a wall mount is not an option. I've decided best thing is to have a granite plinth made that I'll put on the top shelf on rubber feet.

Another way that people use to support a turntable is the old innertube trick.
If you haven't heard of it, you place your turntable on a 1 inch thick piece of plywood and in-turn place that on a large as possible diameter inner-tube, make sure that the plywood is cut large enough to give you a good inch or so overhang.

Inflate the tube so you have enough support but don't overdo it as this may allow vibrations to transfer to the platform, you just want it to bounce.
