Turn off email notifications

I'm a new member and I've appeared to have turned on receiving notifications for all new posts and responses when I set up my account.

I want to receive notifications about my threads and posts but not everything which I've not added or responded to.

How do I turn this off please?

To be clear exactly what content are you getting notifications for? If I'm understanding correctly the answer lies in the screen shot michael hoy was nice enough to post. Under content options.
