Air, at least if dry, is an excellent electrical insulator but, it offers no obstruction to electromagnetism or electromagnetic radiation. I refer you to post #9 in this thread.

All joking aside, I might need to upgrade my hangers. That is seriously high quality, at least 3 times thicker than any of mine - with a plastic cap to prevent scratching.
(One like that probably costs more than my cables).
