True HD sound

Hi can any one tell me how to get true hd sound from my system please, i have got an onkyo 605, ps3 and kef 3005s, Many thanks. Also would this be the best sound format to listen to dvds ?

At the moment the only way is for PS3 to decode True HD to PCM which is still good, maybe even equal to True HD as it's uncompressed.

You can only listen to dvd's in DD or DTS, depending on what's on the disc.

Pulse Code Modulation - a kind of digital encoding. The Onlyo will accept Linear PCM, a high-resolution version of the digital signal, comprising four datastreams each carrying two channels, which is the best the PS3 can currently do with True HD soundtracks.

so am i best not playing about with the settings on the ps3 and letting it do it all itself and the onkyo ?
