Hi all,
It's been a while since my last post and since then I've dragged myself into the digital age and set up a Vortex Box system on an AsRock ION 330 based mini PC.
I had hoped to output the FLAC content to my Musical Fidelity X-DAC V8 via the TOSLink output on the ASRock but alas, it appears that the X-DAC only has Coaxal or USB digital inputs. USB works fine but I wondered if the results would be better using Coaxal inputs? To this end, I was thinking of buying a TOSLink to Coaxal convertor and wondered if any one had any experience of them?
Also I wondered if adding such a convertor was worthwhile over the existing USB inputs as I wasn't sure if by adding another piece of kit into the mix would negate any benefits Coaxal would have over USB anyway?
Hope this makes sense.
Regards
Aeis
