Toshiba SD580

Had a check in the reviews section and the Toshiba SD580 seems to be a good choice for a budget upscaler however I have an earlier Tosh DVD player and it's incredibly prone to locking up unless I run a cleaning disk through it every couple of plays - not a major problem but annoying especially if you're having a viewing marathon, anyone know if the Toshiba SD580 has similar problems?
