To biwire or not to biwire...

Well guys this is the thing...

I bought speakers which are single wired but my amplifier is biwire.

I use 6mm Van damme professional wires (3m).

I am thinking of biwiring my speakers in the sense to get the biwire out from my amplifier and use banana input at speaker for 1 one wire from amp and spade input at the speaker for the 2nd wire from the amp.

1. Will i short-circuit my amplifier by doing this?

2. Will i gain something in sound by doing this?

3. I am thinking of using my Van damme 6mm copper wires but also the Amphion Speaker wires ( my speakers are Amphion 7L) because they have aluminium copper coating and might gain something in lower/higher frequency without loosing the dull copper wire performance.

Thanks and waiting dor your expert feedback....

Hi there LC....your speakers only have one set of terminals so biwiring isn't an option for you.....you're amps two sets of terminals are more likely for two sets of speakers...you might have a speaker a/b switch on the amp....if not then most manufacturers would have you use the low frequency terminals for connection..the crossover on your speakers is within the chassis and cannot be accessed so wheather you do that interpretation of your proposed actions still won't achieve biwiring...so better not bother with that...you might damage both speakers and amplifier. Also there is nothing to be gained in biwiring so your not missing out on any whizz bang superduper sound quality.

Ps.just had a check and your amps terminals are clear marked 1+2 on the right and 1+2 on the left so attach your speakers to terminal 1 for the right and terminal 1 for the left.......with a look at the level of kit you're using.....you really should know this...
