I ran the tests this morning and got an 'out of phase' message a couple of times. The right test soundsgnals are coming out of the correct speakers and I've checked the speaker cables are wired correctly i.e. made sure the part of the cable with writing on is connected to the red terminal at both speaker & amp (Yamaha 863SE) ends. Is there anything else I may have done wrong, or is it nothing to be concerned about?

Thanks

Ian

Hi,

I ran this once with my amp. Ignored warning, ran the test for a second time and it didn't report a problem. If you are sure you have everything wired up correctly then nothing to worry about.

There is another thread on here somewhere which says much the same.

Cheers,

Cofnchtr.

I cant remember off my head exactly how it works, but my dad said the very same thing but he was missing hearing a tone or something (Which I picked up on). It will almost certainly be right as it is.

Hi mate,

Ive got a denon 1909 and when running the auto setup it actually says in the manual that a warning msg re the f/l speaker is 'out of phase' ie wired up wrong can be displayed, even when it is wired up properly- maybe its just a glitch like on my denon.
