Thorens TD180 Turntable - reviews/opinions?

Do any of the WHFS&V staff or readers have any experience of this turntable? I've never owned a Thorens TT before but understood that they made quality products. Having just done a quick search on the web of this particular model it appears that it could possibly be more of a "cheap and cheerless" variety!

Any feedback would be welcome.

Give it a miss. (You would do much better with a well looked after Dual CS-505-2).

TD-150, TD-160, TD-125 are the names you should be looking for.

Alternatively, look out for a Systemdek IIX (or IIX 900) with a Linn LVX or Rega RB arm.

Yes, better than the 180, but still an average turntable. You could get better for the money. I would be looking at Pro-Ject and Rega in that price bracket.
