Logitech G502 (palm) or Razer Deathadder 2013 (claw) for gaming. Logitech Performance MX or G402 for everything else.

I settled for one of these in the end and yep the cat diarrhead on the mouse as well as the keyboared the other day.

The Logitech Performace MX is a solid everyday mouse. It's worth the investment, especially if you work a lot in front of the computer.
