I can see why these Dynaudio 2/6 got the 5 star review and an award. They really are sweet as a nut, a captivating treble and with a very eloquent midrange with a tuneful and precise bass. A big load of thanks to Rick at Musicraft for all his advice and great customer service. over and out

Congrats, Dave!

Loving mine as well. Before I got them I didn't listen to music as much as I do now

nice one dave, it was ricks glowing reccomendation of the dm's that helped seal the deal for me, what fantastic speakers they are, you'll have to drag yourself away from the hifi 🙂

Are the Dynaudios Rear ported or front ported??

Was potentially thinking about these for my setup in place of the Castle's. Unfortunately however they need to be mounted on a shelf about 10" away from a rear wall.

Jason, they are rear ported. I have mine on shelves and they sound perfect. One of the reasons I chose these was to be positioned on a self.

oooo now thats good to know then.....How far from the rear wall are they Brittondave?

11.8 cm. But just remember your room may have different acoustics.

Thanks for that......yeah acoustics probably different but at least I know they are probably potentially worth a home demo if I can get one 🙂

A few further thoughts on the Dynaudios.. As well as Hi Fi duties they are being used for AV in stereo. They are very clear when it comes to the spoken word. They work really well at low volumes which is great for night time listening. they cope with complex music well.

That's interesting, I am very interested in these speakers but I was worried that I would have to site them too close to a wall (about 8cm)...maybe it's not such a big problem...are you using the foam plugs?

Are they brand new? if so I'd imagine they actually sound harsher than they will after a good run in.

(I love it when hi fi sounds great at first as you know it's only going to get better...)
