For me, this is always one of the most interesting and informative sections of the mag, especially as the 3 systems are presented to the panel blindly. However, I wish that the systems were not always presented in ascending order of expense, because the panel must now know this is usual running order thereby introducing a bias to their responses.

How about randomly assigning the running order so that, say, it is equally likely that the most expensive system intervention is used first, the least expensive second and the remainder third? This could make some results even more interesting!

Not too sure what a

is, but while we may present the systems in that way in the magazine for the purposes of clarity, the way in which they're presented to the BQ participants is rather more random.

Thank you Andrew. This is very reassuring.

Oh, and the word 'intervention' obviously betrays my research background. One of the definitions of the word is 'the act of interposing one thing between or among others'.
