Hi 1st time poster after some advice if I may

I have these two pieces Technics SA-C600 + Forte A4 WiFi speakers currently connected via leads but have been trying to get these linked via Bluetooth with no success putting them both into pairing mode they do not seem to find each other.

is it possible to output the sound from the Technics player to a Bluetooth/WiFi speaker or does it always have to be wired?

Many thanks in advance on any advice

Regards
Julian

Hi Julian you only need to put the speakers into pairing mode and turn the bluetooth to ON on the Technics when the Technics detects the speaker press connect .
Hi Thanks Andy, I have tried this today setting the Bluetooth to ready (there isn't an on/off function) and put the speaker into pairing mode unfortunately it still isn't connecting, i have tried both setting speaker to pairing mode first & second still no connection.

I have had them a foot apart, 2 meters apart, 5 meters apart the later being around this distance I would like them to be.

I assume now that it isn't possible to connect or something is faulty.

cheers for the reply and advice

Do you own, or can you borrow a 3rd (known working) Bluetooth device Julian.
With that you could see if / which of the other two might be faulty.
Hi Grey,

I already have my turntable connected via bluetooth to speakers so have to assume that this issue is with the cd player.

i have been able to connect my mobile to the cd player so connecting into the player works, just out putting signal doesn't

thanks again

Yes, of course, the Technics must be a Bluetooth receiving device only.
When anything also transmits BT (such as the Wiim Ultra) then they make it clear that it has 2-way Bluetooth.

So forget what I said about using a third device to find a fault....there is no actual fault 👍

This is becasue you will never be able to do this.

Technics SA-C600 is a just add speakers device, passive speakers! like a Uniti atom the technics isnt just a CD player its an amp, streamer and dac all rolled into one. Did you purchase this thinking its just a cdplayer?
this is what you have yes?https://www.whathifi.com/reviews/technics-sa-c600

Argon Audio Forte A4 WiFi (assume thats the full model number) speakers are active speakers essentially Technics SA-C600 in speaker form. these are what you have yes? https://www.themadaudio.com/reviews/tag/Forte+A4+WiFi

from my eyes its a strange combo of gear that you are trying to pull together? Did someone sell you this or have acquired it all online?

Ahh, now when you said that - I assumed it was the Argon device you were talking about - receiving BT from the turntable.
But as @twinkletoes has pointed out, the Argon is a powered speaker.

Does the Argon even have Bluetooth reception capability?
(Not that it would receive from a Technics that can't transmit BT 🤪)
