Tannoy HPD 315a

I have been offered a pair of these speakers along with a Kenwood trio ka 990 amplifier. I think the speakers are circs 1975 and the amp is early 80s.

Does anyone have any views on these? Are they worth having a look at?

The Kenwood is certainly past their prime period. The Kenny amps to go for are the mid-to-late 70s ones, which are superb. If the KA990 is free or pocket money its probably worth a play with, but I doubt it would give your Yamaha anything to worry about. Having said that its smaller siblings, the 550D and the 660 are decent amps so I wouldn't let it pass without a listen.

Don't know anything about the Tannoys.
