As most of you may already know i do use RAs mains cables that have given me some great results, i also use an Olson 8way mains block with which im very happy with and have been for years.

Now, a friend had recently purchased the Tacima from Maplins with which he told me he was very pleased with, as alot of you go on about how good the Tacima is & WHSAV give it a great review inc a 5 star rating i thought id borrow it of my friend & give it a go.

I first plugged my CDP into it & as soon as the opening drums on Kiss , The creatures of the night CD burst out i thought WOW what difference its made , it sounds so much sweeter & clearer i can hear Paul Stanleys guitar as if he was playing it in the room & every strutt of Gene Simmons bass with amazingly clear dialogue & most importantly the bass is so much more solid & tight where i can actually feel it pounding through my sofa without coming across to boomy.
It really is an enjoyable musical experience to the point were im preferring to listen to my music more. To think this cost £25 from Amazon, even plugging my bluray player into it has given some cleaner results, im just gobsmacked as to how good it is for the price as i wasnt expecting that kind of a performance at all from it. So ive inevitably ordered one from Amazon.

Highly impressive..

I was on the cables Big Question and I agree that the difference was astounding. And it's proper cheap too. Not really that much more expensive than a decent six way block. I ordered a bunch of cables as soon as I got back from the studios.

I think WHF call the Tacima block a "no brainer" in terms of value and performance!!

It's got my vote for one of the very best immediate upgrades at low cost, highly recommended

Do you mean a cleaner picture with blu-ray or cleaner sound?

I agree with your upgrading, as on dct kord treatment thread, ( still running in my 3 new ones and the 8 way russ andrews mains block).

just tiring when one of us posts our findings for someone to then say we are liars, Stupid, mad, or worse! Or go into the laws of physics that no one could ever prove or understand.

Thats why Jase, AliEnRiCK and I agreed some time ago to just ignore such posts, they come with the territory. I am still happy to read reasoned debate.

Yer i know what you mean, you just have to learn to rise above it jc..

Another The Silencer is twice the price, so now the Tacima is on the shopping list. I get very little hiss through my insensitive headphones and noticeably more through the sensitive ones. That is what I am looking to cure. If it does not work then I assume the Tacima would cope fine with a TV, DVD, Sky box and Bose Sounddock? Obviously only a couple of those are on at any one time.

I don't know why people who haven't tried things, and think it's all foo, even contemplate commenting. It's like me saying a movie is rubbish without actually seeing it.

I have a Tacima .... has not made a difference to my system (to my ears), but still think it is worth the £24 I paid as at least there is some form of protection

You might find it better by plugging the amp direct into the wall

idc I have 2, 1 for our Panny tv/sky+/dvd and it made a visible difference to our picture quality (sharper cleaner image). 2nd on uor Avi's/cyrus/project headbox,I have never tried it without though so cannot say wheather there is any difference.
