Went about tidying up my system today - out went the Rega P3-24 Blue (undecided as yet whether this will be permanent and a possible sale) and the Wadia 170i and V-Dac was back in play. I like to keep things looking pretty simple given the area for my system isnt overly large, but it seems to work out fine even with the nearby wall to the right. There is nice comfy leather chair opposite 🙂

So, without scandalising the forum, what do you do on that comfy leather chair when listening?

Haha, a bit of Barry White? 😉

The dock is a Wadia 170i and hidden behind it on a granite board is a Musical Fidelity V-Dac which may well be replaced by a Musical Fidelity M1DAC when released.

Hence a likely permanent move away from vinyl to a cd and dac sourced system via the i-touch which also streams internet radio.

Sounds good. Internet radio is good quality compared to DAB IMHO, plus the selection of stations, you'll love it!

I have to agree that internet radio streamed through the Wadia and the DAC does sound extremely good. I-player works well through the itouch too.

Where did you get those black bases? They look neat - are they custom cut? I need one or two for my rack.

sorry for the delay - just noticed the question

the cd and amplifier are on SRM-Tech Isolations Platforms called
Silent Stage 6B - they do a good job and look nice too which was a consideration

the wadia and dac are simply on cheap £5 black granite chopping boards from sainsburys
