Hopefully someone can help. I have been running two 160G ipod classics off my itunes. I got an 8G iphone as an upgrade and successfully synced it. To make the most of its small memory i changed all my music files from appleloss to 256kps. I tried to sync my classic but it came up with the message "Attempting to copy to disk failed. The disk could not be read or written from".
I then was able to successfully sync my iphone again but on trying to sync my fiancee's classic it came up with the same error message as my classic.
I was advised to uninstall and reinstall itunes which i have done to no avail. Strangely the classics syncing is failing after less and less time. it started off transfering 5G and is now down to 2G. I have since been apple to sync the iphone a number of times but has now decided to stop working completely and only displays the apple logo untill the battery runs out.
Please can anyone help?
