Current system is M&K 850s, CS150 surrounds and Velodyne DD15 Sub

Thinking of moving from the Denon to 2nd hand pre/power amp. Budget or £1k on top of what my Denon is worth.

Would this be a worthwhile upgrade? Any suggestions on what pre/power amp to look for?

Nad M15HD & Nad M25. Far better than any one box solution.

Will drive any speaker package in existence. Also THX Ultra II certified. You'd have to get the Processor new, but the power you could pick up for about £1500. Bargain.

Take a look at nadelectronics.com if you like the sound of it

I second the recommendation for the NAD combination - in particular, the mighty NAD M25 7-channel Power Amplifier.

Nice system dantan. Bit confused about your loudspeakers though. After 10 years studying hifi and home cinema i've never heard of Krix. Which country are they manufactured in?

Cheers

Thanks Bananaman2.

Krix is an Australian manufacturer of loudspeakers. Krix loudspeakers are manufactured in South Australia. Krix really made their mark initially with cinema fit-outs locally here in Australia, then in some parts of Asia. They are extremely popular these days for domestic customers.

You can check out Krix's web-site at: http://www.krix.com

My main loudspeakers are the flag-ship, floor-standing Krix Neuphonix. My centre channel loudspeaker is the flag-ship Krix Epicentrix. My surround loudspeakers are floor-standing Krix Phoenix. My sub-woofer is the Krix Seismix 5.

Don't know about good second hand options, but for very good value new gear:

Rotel RMB1077 7 x 100-watt Class D Power Amplifier

Rotel RSP-1570 Full HD Surround Sound Processor
