Suitable receiver for Monitor Audio in-walls

Hello all,

I've just bought a pack of C265 LCRs which I'm going to need to pair to a decent receiver. There's a Denon 2310 available at a decent price, but I'm open to suggestions around £5-700

Hi, if you're looking for an AV receiver, the Denon 2310 should match up well with the C265s as they're timbre matched to the MA RS line. You might also want to look at a Yamaha receiver, as these match well with MA-RS speakers

What sub have you got to go with this BTW?

When you say a pack - do you mean 5xC265 LCRs.

Thanks, the sub is an Audio Pro Mondial SUB 3

No, only 3 of them - C265FX ceiling speakers for the surrounds.

I've seen elsewhere that Yamaha matches well with Monitor Audio - why's that?

Generally, a bright receiver tonally matches well with warm speakers & vice versa.

Monitor Audio speakers tend to be a little on the brighter side, & Yamaha receivers are known to be warm.

Ofcourse, it all depends on your listening preferences.
