subwoofer question?

i have a cheap eltax sub 8 months ago £100 from richer sounds and once i get a dac in the next few months im looking at upgrading my sub so im looking at ebay for ideas and hoping £150-£200 second hand should get a good upgrade.

1-i have just a single rca-rca from my amp to the sub but most of the subs i seen,jbl,rel,b&w ect i cant see 1 phone input they just seem to have a red and white(left and right) whats the crack do you just put the single rca into the right or left?

Yes. Just connect it to one input. The manufacturer normally specify which one.

have a look for an epos m sub were about £500 new - i sold mine on ebay for less than £200 from memory - was a good sub

Red = Right is what mine said.

if your using the denon it will be the lfe channel and depending on what sub you buy you can also use high level which just connect in parallel to the main speakers

top work lads im about 16 weeks away from getting a sub but i like to know what to do/look for.

i would look for a sub that can accept both a low level and high level signal at the same time that way when you put your amp into direct audio the sub will still be used for the front left and right/stereo listening

rel/bk and others do this some makes don't
