I ahve a Denon 1910 amp with a Pair of Wharfedale Diamond 9.5 on front and ahve a Wharfadale PC 10+

After making the audessy setting, the sub was set at -12db buy the system at half volume on the master volume on the Sub. With movies it sounds really good with the sub delivering clear and deep thuds, but with music there is barely any difference, on the spec sheet of the 9.5s, it is stated that the Speakers extend from 30Hz-24KHZ, Can anyone tell if music will sound best with the sub turned off or will the sub still go to lower frequencies (The sub's Spec sheet says it goes to 35HZ)

Thanks.

Check spec sheets one more time. Wharfedale 9.5 goes to 30 Hz -6dB. Sub goes to 35hz (6dB boundary position). Than maybe can be a much more difference then just 30 and 35, some explanation needed.
Stereo image can be a little bit better without sub.

Wharfedale 9.5 30-24k @ -6dB

In the case of the Subwoofer there is Just the frequency response range 35-85HZ as nearly all wharfedale Subs are Quoted, but the strange thing is that the subwoofer's crossover filter starts at 35Hz

To Mr Andrew

Will the 6.5inch woofers be able to produce as much bass as the 10inch Sub in reality, being it's amp dedicated to lower frequencies.

Would you suggest to Use The Floorstanders alone for stereo or set the floorstanders at 60-80Hz and let the sub handle the rest

Regards
