I currently live in a recent build, top floor apartment with plasterboard walls and laminate flooring. I believe that the base underneath this flooring is concrete. I'm wondering what sort of steps I can take to minimise sound leakage especially bass. From what I've already read some people use combination of an Auralex SubDude/Gramma platform and a granite chopping board or slab. Also possibly using blu tack as a further layer of insulation.

I also realise my receiver probably offers a night mode/dynamic range compression mode. I intend to use this if watching anything after 9pm anyway.

Do any forum members have tips or other suggestions they could add?

Many thanks

Some ideas here but not sure how it may help with wooden floors on concrete.
