Hi,

Im useless with AV stuff!

I've just bought http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/products/42/98/405/VSX-527-K/page.html which i've found out has PREOUT for the Sub connection.

On my sub which is rather old now and I connect to this AMP it has red and black copper inputs with is shown on http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200603/20060309162726609_HT-Q20-GB.pdf

Confused how to connect to Preout with the two copper connections in the AMP and what cable i'll now need.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums

Not 100% but looks like the sub is an all in one, in that its conection is speaker type conection from the amp, and does not have a dedicated phono sub in, so if that is correct you will need a newer active sub, which will then connect via the sub out input on the amp, I have tried to look for info images but at no avail, so maybe some one can confirm. 8)

The sub-woofer from that package is a PASSIVE subwoofer, ie it has no internal amplifier, you will not be able to use it with a "normal" AV amplifier, you'd need to get yourself the more usual active subwoofer which is capable of accepting a line-level (preferably LFE channel for AV use) input.
