Hi Editing Team,

In last months WHFSV you stated the sub on the M Cubes needs 'careful placement'. What do you mean by that ?

I have the choice of either 1) In a corner - in a chimney breast recess and hidden by a sofa, or

2) The other side which is open but on the edge of the dinning room area of the

through lounge.

Are either of these suitable ?

The umbilical chord from the amp to the sub is about 3m long, so that restricts where you can place it, and then of course the satellite speakers themselves have to be wired to the sub, so that's another constraint.

In your case, the sub would be better placed in the corner rather than in open space, provided the cables will reach.

The reason I'm stuck is that, due to the wiring system, I can't really move the sub around to do the usual check for sub sweet spot. I ran the speaker wire (for the surround speakers) under the floor and only have 4 feet left at this side of the room.

Numty that I am I forgot that the speakers wire into the sub on the M Cubes.

Whoops, cross posted there. Thanks Andy. I can use the hole in that side of my cabinet and feed the speaker cable out and the umbilical in. More like Midwifery than AV.
