sub hum

hi all

watching a film lastnight and i've noticed that my sub has started to emit a hum,i have not had this problem before has anyone got any ideas?

It's really starting to bug me.

What's the system, what's the sub, and has anything changed recently - addition of new sources/components, etc.?

The sub is a gale 9030 set at 150htz, volume at 12 o'clock no new components in system.

The sub has not been moved and cables have not been moved.

Check the RCA to sub (possible bad earth) and the mains extension block to the system if you have one(earth again).

Either that or the sub, or something else in the chain, has developed a fault.

Unplugged rca's ,wiped ,replugged and no hum fingers crossed.

Quite possible some enthusiastic subwooferage had shaken one of them slightly loose!
