any one know if stv hd is available through sky hd i can get itv hd through the other channels menu but have no idea how or if i can get stv hd.

You can manually tune via add channels, like ITV1 HD, using the following settings,

Frequency: 10.936 GHz

Polarity: Vertical

Symbol Rate: 22,0

FEC: 5/6

Because ITV2 HD provides national coverage, rather than regional, so isn't subject to the same licensing conditions/issues as ITV1...

Do you live in Scotland? If so, ITV1 is not available, you will instead have to watch STV. STV is the broadcaster on the Channel 3 licence for Scotland, UTV for Ulster and Channel TV for Channel islands. This affects branding, rights to programmes and revenue etc, as these are separate companies to ITV PLCÿ

ITV2, 3 and 4 is owned by ITV as digital channels (not part of the old analogue licences. This can therefore be broadcasted all over UK.
