Streaming music to i-Pod Touch?

Has anybody any experience of doing this? I have seen somethings called Airfoil and Airfoils Speakers Touch. Using something like this would I be able to browse my i-Tunes library with my Touch to select music the stream it.

I have also seen something called XBMC and XBMC remote which seems to do this, is it this any good?

I a use PC rather than a Mac for i-Tunes

So are you wanting an app installed on your Touch which will let you stream music from your iTunes Library to the Touch? If so, I use an app called Simplify Media for this.

Yes that's what I'm after. I have far more music than can fit on the Touch. I just wondered if there was a simple way to access it using internet/wifi. Much like I can access Windows media player to access photos and music etc with my x-box 360.

I'll have a look at that app this evening. Thanks in advance for the heads up.

No probs - certainly works for me within my own wireless network. Haven't tried it over the internet but the website suggests it's possible.

Just got it up and running. Wow!! what a great app. Now I just need to figure out a way of extending the wireless signal to reach the garage and I'm all set. I am with Sky for internet do you know if an Airport Express could do this. Even if it was connected to the wireless router via ethernet and plugged into the nearest socket to the garage?
