Streaming music from itunes to ipod touch

I understand you can do this with airfoil on the pc and the airfoil speakers app for the ipod but is there another way without airfoil as it's £25 and I would just stream itunes.

And frankly, it sounds fairly pants. But no, not that I can think of. Do you mean to then dock into your stereo or for wandering around the house?

It's not great, but it will do it. I think it helps if you don't share your entire Library of songs as this seems to take an age to synchronise.

EDIT - haven't used it in ages though and it looks like it's changed quite a bit now I look at it so maybe it's not so bad now!

I think it was free when I first downloaded it but that was a long time ago.

Tricky. I think the underlying quality of airfoil speakers might be better, but it has much more trouble streaming (perhaps in both cases because I'm playing lossless), so you get a poor quality connection and thence subjectively worse (or at least variable) sound quality. I need to experiment...
