Spendor D7s

[Excitable Boy]

I briefly heard the Spendor D7s last week and was impressed. I am keen to investigate further, and would appreciate any feedback from owners and people who have heard them at length. I am especially keen to hear from anyone who can compare/contrast them with the two speakers I know best - the PMC Twenty 23s and the KEF R500s. Thanks

I can only say I heard them briefly at my dealer without knowing it was the D7. New set, just arrived, not played in. And I immediately was impressed. Then I walked over to them and saw the premium finish (Dark Spendor). Whoooaaaa!!!!

This speaker made it to my shortlist.

Just wondering how they match a Rega amp (Elicit probably).

Sorry, I haven't listened to the other speakers you mentioned but I have listened to the D7s (in white finish, no less!) and was very impressed. I thought them to be very musical, transparent and enjoyable, a very viable alternative to the new ProAc D30R (which I think costs slightly more).
