Speakers sound has changed

Have had my Dali Zensor 1's for almost a year and a few months ago their sound changed quite noticeably. They're no longer as crisp as they used to sound and struggle when turned up to higher volumes as well as the bass sounding a lot less tight than it used to and a drop it treble too

Is this normal or should I take them back to Richer Sounds? They have a 5 year warranty which surely covers them if they've deteriorated that quickly?

Appreciate any advice, thanks!

If it's affecting both speakers it sounds more likely a problem with your amp.

yep.

Thanks guys. I'm sure it is both speakers, could having them up too loud have caused damage? I never have them up above their max watt output, the amp can't drive them to their maximum.

Do you think this issue might be covered by the warranty or is this a general wear issue with amps? Cheers.

See if RS will let you bring them in and compare them with their demo pair (if they have some)......you need to do something, otherwise it will eat away at you.

What amp have you got and how loud have you been listening? You are more likely to damage speakers by over-driving a lower powered amp...
