Ok the decision has been made on the above system.....I am waiting to purchase the speakers until I have moved into my new place and obviously funds allow.....

I have already demo'd the Tannoy Dimension DC8's (which I was very taken with), the Dali Mentor 5's and Focal Chorus 716.....

Can anyone else recommend anyother must listen to speakers either Floor stand or Standmount on a budget of approximately £2,000.

I was thinking possibly B&W or Spendor??

atc scm40. not heard them but my 19's compliment the amp very well. i would steer clear of dynaudio with moon, i found it too bassy with focus and contour. i heard the dali mentor 2 recently at home, nice but i think the atcs are better in everyway.

I've heard good things about Wilson Benesch Square 1 (stand mount) and Square 2 (floorstander). I would tempted to see if there's any used Wilson Benesch Arcs going for your budget. The Sevenoaks in Exeter had a pair that caught my attention (and nearly my wallet) but they might be a little micro-scratched on the piano finish. If you have the time def find yourself a Wilson Benesch dealer.

The WBS2's sounded good to me, or you could try Kudos, either C2 or C20, or C10 standmounts. Lovely speakers.

Joel, any chance on a thread about your Unison experiences?

Hi Jason36

You should also seriously consider ATC's SCM40 speakers. The ATC's neutrality will help the qualities of your components to shine through.

Thanks

They do require burn-in though, I hear.

Probably. I heard the WBs at the WHF show last year and they were stunning, albeit with a very good TT providing the source, hugely better than the other rooms on offer from Naim, Mission, Dali etc.
