Speakers for Arcam Alpha 8 CDP and Alpha 9 Amp

I'm after some speakers to pair with my Arcam Alpha 8 CD player and Alpha 9 amp. I mainly listen to classical music, but also some Dylan, Nick Drake, Led Zep, Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Stones - in fact almost everything except teeny-bop pop. I'd happily buy s/h speakers if I get a good recommendation (and flog them on ebay if I don't like them). Alternatively, what budget new speakers would be worth auditioning (bookshelf would be best). Budget up to £300.

I think with your combination and CDP and amp take a look at the M/A BR2's, B&W 685s, B&W 602 S2's (off eBay) or maybe the Dali Lektors

Hi I know it's all about opinion but I personally think the BR2's are much better than the B&W 602s and personally i would wholeheartedly recommend them as fantastic all round speakers.

In case you google it, it's Monitor Audio BR2.
