I dipped my first time toes into home cinema by buying an inexpensive Yamaha rx 361 and NSP110 speakers.

I have been so impressed that I wish to upgrade the speakers and have listed the following ;

TANNOY SFX 5.1 SPEAKER SYSTEM (£ 250)

Q ACOUSTICS 1010 5.1 SPEAKER PACKAGE (£ 299)

WHARFEDALE DIAMOND 9 HCP HOME CINEMA SPEAKER SYSTEM (LIMITED EDITION, WALNUT FINISH) (£ 350)

Kef KHT2005.2 (5.1 speaker package) (£ 399.95)

A 300 -500 sub only

All observations , comments and alternative suggestions welcomed.

Whats your budget for this upgrade from the choosen list i would go for Wharfedales but also consider these Quadlites awesome for the money or have a look at deal at Peter Tyson selling Radius R90 in silver for £519.Kefs are ok but sub electrical problems can occur with them so they brought out the 2005.3 no reviews yet and £600 i listen to them but prefer traditional speakers. I would up grade the speakers and at a later point the amp you will soon get the upgrade bug next a blu ray player and so on good luck hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply , hoped to spend no more than around 500.

I like the look of the quads but not in rosewood (its a deal breaker).I will try to audition the Radius R90 .
