Hi all

Im new to the forum and Im looking to upgrade my speaker stands. I currently have Target HR40s and they are very well made and do sound good, but they are a little low for my stand mounts(Dynaudio Focus 160s), I will be upgrading my speakers next year to a similar size stand mount so a good solid 50cm set of stands will set me up for next year.

Does anyone have some ideas? I really appreciate your help.

£500 is the absolute max.

Parington range

Hi thanks for reply, I had the Partington super Dreadnoughts before and the Target stands absoultly smashed them. These targets are one piece of very heavy duel piller cast, I had ran tests against the partingtons, they made the bass cloudy and boomy compared to the Targets. I cannot get hold of the targets anymore otherwise I would buy another pair.

Maybe the partingtons get much better up the range.

The Super Dreadnoughts are pretty well up the range. If you don't get on with them can I suggest Custom Design FS104's?

They do look good the custom designs, I will definitely look into them.

Thanks

Always trying to help. It's almost impossible to audition things like this. On the plus side is they are not that expensive and if not suitable you should have no trouble selling them on as they receive good reviews. Hope you find these are what you have been looking for.

Thanks Al ears, really appreciate your help, I may be able to buy some and send them back within the return period if I don't like them. I know its not good for dealers but its the only way to test them.
