Speaker Stand

Hi Friends,

I need your suggestion. Yesterday I made a Wood made Bookshelf Speaker Stand. With 8mm ply. Hight 2ft 3inch and same is filled with sand. But when i started to paly my system i am depressed the sound quality. The sound is damp. Mid and high frequency is almost zero. Didn't get the clairity of the same.

Kindly suggest me how can i get back my sound which i got erlier.

A decent stand may make a difference but unlikely in higher frequencies. More likely a position issue assuming you have not damaged a tweeter. A photo may help. Is it possible the bass is overwhealming the mids/high?

Buy some proper stands!

Try removing the sand, see if that improves it. You have the tweeters at ear level?
