Hi all, apoligies in advance if this has been asked before, on advice from the video section in the forum I viewed the home cinema setup, partically of interest to me was the speaker set up.

It suggested to have all front speakers including the centre in line which each other, I done this as my centre was behind the front two and it definely improved the dialogue and sounstage etc.

Next it suggested to set all speakers to large unless satellites for best results, I done this but I much prefered the sound when set yp small, question is am I missing something or is a matter of taste for each individual.

AV amp Denon 3802 Crossover set to 80hz

Front L & R B&W DM603's S2, Centre B&W HTM62 & rears B&W 686.

Arcam DV79 & Arcam A80 acting as a power amp in processor mode.

Basically you should set everything to small if you use a subwoofer

If you dont then everything to small except your main left and right speakers (Which will take on 'bass' duty)

With the denon set to 80hz speakers set to large will not work very well as you are cutting the lower freq

You could set the denon full range , then set fronts to large ( as long as they are not satellite design speakers ) and test that , but if you prefer the sound as it is then leave it
