Speaker Pairing With AVR-3808

Hi there,

I've got a denon AVR 3808 and trying to decide on the best speakers to match up with it, any recommendations? It doesn't need to be a style speaker package, but has to be a max of bookshelf size speakers, budget is 600-1000

Want ones that also sound pretty decent with music, any recommendations?

The best all-round performance you can buy for your budget will come from Tannoy's Mercury F1 Custom package (£799) - our current Award-winner in the £750-£1500 price category for traditional speaker packages.

The four bookshelf speakers (but PLEASE put them on stands!) plus dedicated centre speaker and sub offer real heft and slam with movies plus the refinement to sound great with music, too.

To get anywhere near the same level of performance in the style-speaker field, you'd have to consider another Award-winner - our style speaker package of the year, the KEF KHT3005SE (£1000). The Tannoys would still take the KEFs for music, though.
