Agree with PP about the Sherwood. They were never the best of amps even then and your MAs deserve much better.
In addition to PP's suggestions also look out for Creek amps. The 4330R I have is stunning, and the more recent Evolution amps are also excellent. Another amp well worth seeking out is the Nakamichi IA4. Well under the radar and quite rare, but absolutely brilliant.
The MA BX2s are easy to drive so no decent amp should really struggle, although if you are expecting party levels of bass you just aren't going to get them from those speakers.
