More information required. What is a medium sized room in metres length and width?
Floorstanders or standmounts?
If standmounts do you already own stands?
For what it's worth you have to match speakers to the room and not necessarily the amplifier, the Audiolab will drive most budget speakers well.....

Wharfedale Evo 4.2? Three way standmount with AMT tweeter and soft dome midrange driver for £600. Leaves spare change for some very good stands…. Came top of a speaker shoot out on Pursuit Perfect System. 🙂
I preferred them to the KEF LS50s which I had 👍

Recommended speaker cable for Wharfedale EVO 4:2 Speakers please?

Oh no, you’ve opened the can of cable worms.

There are two sides to this subject, those that believe in cable making a difference and those that believe that a basic cable is all you need.

The only common ground between the two sides is that they agree that a cable is needed between amplifier and speakers.
