Speaker impedance- help!

Hi

My speakers have an impedance of 4-8ohms

Which setting on my receiver do i set?

1). 4ohm ( instructions state: select if the impedance of any speaker is 4 ohms or more but less than 6)

or

2). 6ohm (instructions state: select if the impedance of all speakers are between 6 and 16ohms)

If i select 1). Then that's wrong as my speaker are not less than 6ohms

if i select 2) Then that's wrong as my speakers are not between 6ohms and 16.

Either would be fine. Mine or 6ohm speakers and I have my receiver set to 4ohms.

Hi

Simply thinking I would choose setting two as all your speakers are between 4-8 ohms impedance,. I think your first setting is for one pair of speakers.

Just to double confirm contact the manufacturer.

speaker has.

So I would think that your speaker is a 4 ohm one and
choose the first setting. But I may be wrong.

But you're not. You're spot on.

Say, for example, you have to pair of speakers, 2 with 4 ohm impendance, and 2 with 6 ohm impedance, than choose the lowest value, i.e. 4 ohm.
