Speaker delays and volumes with multi-channel outs

Just wanted to check something. As my amp hasn't got an HDMI port, I've connected my Bluray player using the multi-channel analogue outs on the player, using 4x2 pairs of chord crimsons. I've set up the bdp so it always sends surround sound out by the m/c outs. Now the question is, I've set up speaker distances and levels on my Bluray player and I wanted to confirm that these are what are used when playing things back through my amp? That is, the distances and levels I've got set up on my amp are ignored. Just worried that I've double set these up and might be affecting my sound...

The manual says that 'The AVR250 switches these analogue inputs directly to the analogue outputs via its own volume control circuit', so I think the way you have it set up now is fine.

Thanks Andrew, I was hoping that's what that bit meant. I just started worrying late last night...
