Hi There

Just purchased some speakers (Jamo A102HCS5) and am pairing it with a Sony STR DG820 reciever. The speakers have come with no cables and as a bit of a novice wanted some advice on what to buy, also what kind of connectors and some explanation of termination.

Termination just refers to the connectors at the ends of the cables and to be honest, you don't really need them, you could just go bare wire, depending on the speaker and amp terminals. As to which speaker cable, don't go mad, if you're getting the speakers from a hi-fi shop ask them what they've got, for that amp and speakers I wouldn't spend too much (how much is too much is up to you really, you know your budget better than any of us do), anything at the cheaper end of the line would do, a decent thickness of cable is best though.

I don't know either the amp of the speakers unfortunately, so I can't be much more specific than that I'm afraid.
