speaker channels left and right not the same ?

Hi could any one possible help ? My yamaha Z9 has one channel i.e the left side is not outputing as much as the right channel but is still working fine is there a quick fix or am I looking at yet another bill ! very grateful for any input on this one many thanks

Try swapping over the speaker cables for the two channels at the amp end - at least that way you'll know whether there's something wrong with the speaker (in which case the effect will still be the same) or the amp (in which case the 'problem' will move to the right speaker).

I suspect it's probably something gone awry in the speaker set-up: worth checking the speaker levels menu, and seeing whether you can put things right there.

yes its difficult all speaker settings are zero i.e. balence, gain e.t.c. I swapped the speaker over to the other side to iliminate a speaker problem and the speaker works fine . by turning up the volume I can clearly see the right speaker is moving more than the left !

yes I have had to compensate in the setup just to balence the two speakers with my own ears it works fine but I should nt have to do this . I fear a expensive repair ?

yeah you got me there but this stops me listening in pure direct mode as it reverts back to its original setting as oppose to mine

only checked it with analouge as is used with music and multi channel input for blu ray
