Speaker Cable

At the moment because we are having a major sort out at home my speakers are on top of a book case. The wire I am using is 3 core cable from an old extension lead.

To me everything sounds superb. My speakers are Technics SB-CS55 60Watts a channel.

Is it OK to still continue to use this cable or should I change it ?

I think there are a few people who have posted on here before who use the same cable. It should be fine.

Many moons ago I bought some expensive American speaker cable, recommended by a certain Hifi magazine (grrr), only to find it was solid core and I could have saved a fortune using a roll of flat twin and earth from B&Q!!!
