I have just moved home and my aged QED bi-wire cables need changing.
One speaker is near the system and the other is 5m away. The cables will be hidden in the void under the floor. I have always worked on the theory that both cables should be the same length. Is this the case?
At the speaker end, I have screwed in and tightened the bare cables. At the amp end I have wired both cables into single "fat" gold plated banana plugs (I think QED). I intend reusing these (they are 13 years old but in good condition). Is this the best way to terminate?
Also looking to go for either Chord carnival bi-wire or QED silver aniversary XT Bi-wire.
Probably the Chord.
Any suggestions on the above?
