I have a kef 3005se 5.1 system running from a sony str820 amp.The front three speakers are wired with chord silver anniversary xt.The rears require about 15m each of cable and I am reluctant to splash out on the same cable for these.

My question is what cable can I realistically get away with without compromising the sound?Ideally I'd like to spend around £2/m. Thanks for any help.

Thanks voodooDoctor but I meant to say that the fronts are connected with chord carnival silverscreen not the qed cables.

I use QED micro for both my systems, it seems ok and doubt its letting down my AV system. Its tiny and cheap!

I would recommend trying the VanDamme Hifi cable. I have bought some 2.5mm from vdctrading for re-wiring my setup (still haven't got round to it). It should be easy enough to hide and there is plenty of copper if you're using long lengths.

If it's good enough for the studios, VanDamme is good enough for me.......
