Think your speakers could be somewhat different as the Harbeths are infinite baffles. Unlike ported or vented the Harbs tend to need more power to make the cones move
Agreed (y) More power is indeed required, but the difference was based on new and old speakers using an SPL meter at the listening position and adjusting volume accordingly to obtain an identical 75dB peak.

Mabye wharfedale diamond 225 or the 12's, mabye mission lx MK II

I think many cheap speakers are bright dali,B&W, klipsch,system audio, some dynaudio can be bright

It's funny that you've listed some of the biggest names in that short list, maybe they believe that's what a wider audience prefer to hear. as that's what the smaller less expensive market will be aimed at as oppoed to Audiophiles?
